Volunteer with us

Everyday people like you make a huge difference to people with MS. Find out about ways to volunteer your time to help our community.

Importance of charity volunteering

We rely heavily on volunteers to support our mission and improve the lives of people affected by MS. Volunteers play an important role in:

  • fundraising events
  • delivering resources to people affected by MS
  • advocating for MS research and policy
  • providing care and support to the MS community

Volunteers who generously donate their time are critical to our success. Join a community of passionate people coming together to improve people’s lives and create a world free of MS.

Volunteering has been a positive outlet for me when coming to terms with a Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis. It has meant that I feel I can make a positive difference for people with MS. It makes me feel part of a family and network that supports one another.

Questions about volunteering

  • Can I volunteer remotely?

We do have remote volunteering roles available. These can be done from the comfort of your own home, online or over the phone.

  • Can I volunteer if I’m living with MS myself?

Yes! Many of our volunteers are living with MS. We’ve been told they find it a rewarding way to give back to the MS community. Search our volunteering opportunities to find one that’s right for you.

  • How do the MS Society keep their volunteers safe?

The safety of our volunteers is very important to us. We provide training and guidance on topics such as safeguarding and health and safety to ensure that the right checks, balances and support are in place.

The most enjoyable part of volunteering with the MS Society is being part of a large, friendly community. It's given me the opportunity to help support people, see them gain confidence, practical knowledge so that they can help each other and make new friends.
