Nick Winser CBE has started his role as our Chair of Trustees. He was appointed last July and replaces the previous Chair, Hilary Sears.
Nick joined the Board of Trustees in 2015 and became Vice-chair in 2016.
Nick’s wife Denise was diagnosed with MS in 1999. He’s described MS as having a “deep and lasting” effect on Denise and his family.
A real honour
Nick said: “It’s a real honour to have taken on this role. I have seen first hand the impact this unpredictable condition has on individuals and families. I’m passionate about inspiring and supporting the MS Society to achieve a world free from MS.
“I’m committed to ensuring the charity continues its crucial funding of MS research so we can discover new, more effective therapies. I’m also determined that everyone affected by MS has fair access to treatments and all the information they need. I’m very excited about what we can accomplish together over the coming years.”
