i newspaper backs us with their Christmas Appeal

We’re really delighted the i paper has chosen us as their partner for this year’s Christmas Appeal.

Together, we’re aiming to raise £125k from readers’ donations.

Transform lives

The money we receive will go towards our grants, which can transform the lives of people affected by MS.

They can fund a huge variety of things including specialist eating equipment, mobility scooters and wheelchairs.

Gina’s 51 and received a grant from us. Her MS meant she couldn’t open her blinds:

“It was so depressing sitting in the dark…imagine how frustrating it was not to be in control of my own daylight.”

Control and independence

Her grant meant she was able to get remote controlled electric blinds installed, which gave her back some control and independence in her life.

During December and into January the i will run a story about our work every day – both in the newspaper and online.

The articles will cover all elements of our work, from the support we offer through our grants and the MS Helpline, to the campaigning we do around disability benefits and social care, to the amazing research we fund.

Patricia Gordon, our acting CEO says: “We’re absolutely thrilled the i has chosen us for their Christmas Appeal. With the generosity of the paper's readers, we’ll be able to touch and transform the lives of more people like Gina.”
