Benefits and money
The benefits system is complex, and the rules often change. Before you start, it is often worth seeking expert advice from a benefits adviser.
The MS Society can give grants towards items you may need as a result of your MS, if there is no health or social services funding available.
In addition to the disability benefits you might be able to claim, there are various grants and concessions that might make living with MS easier.
You can get debt advice and might be eligible for free public transport, help with heating and prescriptions.
Sometimes you may need legal advice to help you know if you are being treated fairly, to understand your rights in a situation or to challenge unfair practice.
