Sometimes you may need legal advice to help you know if you are being treated fairly, to understand your rights in a situation, or to challenge unfair practice.
We pay the the Disability Law Service (DLS) to provide a legal service that offers free, confidential advice to people affected by MS. This service covers five key areas of law in England and Wales only:
- Disability discrimination
- Goods and services
- Community care
- Welfare benefits
The MS Legal Officer cannot offer advice about criminal or family law and cannot advise people living in Scotland or Northern Ireland. Please read the advice and advocacy for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The MS Legal Officer can be reached by telephone, email or by making an appointment to see you in person. As the service can get very busy, you may need to leave a message and wait for a reply.
You can contact the service by telephone on 0207 791 9800 (press option one) or by email at [email protected].
