Sometimes grants are available to help cover costs. Some local MS Society groups offer grants. Or you might find financial support from other sources. For example, grants through social care, or from charities and unions linked to the kind of work you’ve done, or where you live.
Because of the drop in our income due to COVID-19, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to stop some of our activities. This includes our national grants programme which will be paused for 2 to 3 years.
Unfortunately, we can no longer accept applications for Carers Grants or Health and Wellbeing Grants. But there are still other ways to access financial support.
If you’re looking for other information on MS and COVID-19, visit our coronavirus information pages.
Local MS Society group grants
Some of our local groups offer their own grants. Get in touch with your local group to see if they’re considering grant applications. If they are, they’ll give you an application form and explain what to do.
Other grant providers
If you’d like information about alternative grant providers, you can use the Turn2Us website to search for grants and find benefits advice. Or, call the Turn2Us Helpline on 0808 802 2000. Their team is available between 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
Professional referrals for grants
Some grant applications need a referral from someone in health or social care. We can’t make those kind of referrals, but we can help point you towards organisations who might have grants available to you.
Our MS Helpline
We're available Monday to Friday, 9am – 7pm, except bank holidays.
