Grants for people with MS

Sometimes grants are available to help cover costs. Some local MS Society groups offer grants. Or you might find financial support from other sources. For example, grants through social care, or from charities and unions linked to the kind of work you’ve done, or where you live.

MS Society national grants closed

Unfortunately, we’ve had to close our national grants programme. This means we can't accept applications.

We paused our national grants programme in 2020 after our income was impacted by the pandemic. We then made the difficult decision to close the programme permanently for financial reasons.

We know the cost of living crisis is having a huge impact on the MS community and people need help right now. There are still other ways to get financial support.

Local MS Society group grants

Some of our local groups offer their own grants. Get in touch with your local group to see if they’re considering grant applications. If they are, they’ll give you an application form and explain what to do.

Professional referrals for grants

Some grant applications need a referral from someone in health or social care. We can’t make those kind of referrals, but we can help point you towards organisations who might have grants available to you.
