Subsidised hydrotherapy
Event/service information
MS Society Scarborough & District are subsidising a Hydro-rehab and fitness service with Claire Edwards, a fully qualified and insured hydro-rehab and fitness instructor. The group class is for independent swimmers and is an aquatic-based muscle strengthening and mobilisation class, offering exercises focusing on stretching muscles and working joints through a range of movements. This class is similar to aquafit, but less cardio-input.
Booking is required, with costs paid monthly on the 1st Monday of the month. The class usually costs £8, but MS Society Scarborough & District are subsidising 50% of this cost for up to 5 places per class, subject to availability. Should the offer prove popular, a funding rotation will be introduced for 10 weeks at a time, with new referrals being offered priority to ensure fair access to the service.
