Who likes Cake Break? Actor Stephen Hagen does!

Actor Stephen Hagan joined local fundraisers the McReavie family to launch Cake Break 2016 in Northern Ireland today.

Stephen (Stan Lee’s Lucky Man, Risen) is familiar with the impact MS can have and encouraged everyone to get involved in Cake Break.

Raise lots of dough!

"I have a couple of close family friends with MS, so I am aware of the impact it can have on someone’s life," Stephen said.

“I have learnt so much more about MS by being involved in Cake Break and I was surprised to find out Northern Ireland has the second highest prevalence of MS in the world.

“I would encourage everyone to get baking and hold a Cake Break to raise lots of dough to support people with MS.”

Participation is everything

Adele McReavie of Carrickfergus, whose husband has MS said “It doesn’t matter how much you raise through Cake Break, get involved and enjoy some sweet treats with family and friends.

“My husband, Alan, has used some of the therapies offered by the MS Society in their Resource Centre, which has been a great help.

“We don’t let Alan being diagnosed with MS affect our family life, we just carry on as normal and try to do our bit.”

On your marks, get set, bake!

Cake Break officially happens on May 20, but there’s no time like now to start baking, icing and eating to help us beat MS!
