Ahead of the Scottish Parliament Election on 7 May, we asked you to get in touch with your local candidates and tell them about the issues affecting people with MS.
It’s essential that our new government knows about the issues that matter most to you. Better support and investment could transform the lives of people with MS.
Our MS manifesto outlines changes we wish to see across Scotland including:
- implementing a Neurological Workforce Plan to increase the number of neurologists in Scotland to reduce waiting times. And improve care quality.
- improve neuro rehab to increase access to rehabilitation services and improve community support for people with MS.
- improve Adult Disability Payment to meaningfully change the eligibility criteria of ADP.
- commit to Comprehensive Treatment Access to make sure every person with MS receives appropriate treatment. And introduce national standards and monitoring.
- improve social care to provide more support for unpaid carers including legislating and fully funding breaks.
Now that the new government is in place and setting its agenda, you can still make a difference. We're calling on the government to invest in the services our community relies on.
