This includes implementing a Neurological Workforce Plan to increase the number of neurologists. And bringing staffing levels in line with European averages so people can access timely, specialist care.

We’re also calling for improved access to neurological rehabilitation and stronger community support, helping to address the many unmet needs faced by people with MS.

People with MS need access to better financial support. We urgently need changes to Adult Disability Payment (ADP), with a fairer and more inclusive approach to eligibility. So people with MS can access the financial support they deserve.

We're asking the new government to commit to Comprehensive Treatment Access by establishing national standards and monitoring by 2031. And to ensure that everyone with MS receives appropriate and consistent treatment.

Finally, social care must be strengthened, with greater support for carers, including properly funded and legislated breaks.

A fairer future for people living with MS

People living with MS are being left behind. They face long waits for specialists, a lack of mental health support and financial strain from extra costs. Our new government must commit to improving neurology care, access to treatments and ADP.

Together, we can build a fairer, more supportive future for everyone affected by MS in Scotland.
