Take action for MS: Scottish Parliament Election

The new Scottish Government must commit to a vision that prioritises neurological health. And invest in the services our community relies on.

For people with MS, what comes next really matters. That's why we're pushing for better neurological care and lasting improvements to health and care services. And improvements to Adult Disability Payment (ADP) for people with MS.

By signing in support of the MS Manifesto, you'll help to strengthen a growing call for change across Scotland. And we'll deliver our message straight to the government's door when we hand in our MS Manifesto.

We're making sure MS can't be ignored as decisions are made for the years ahead.

Together, we’re calling on the new Scottish Government to:

  • implement a Neurological Workforce Plan to increase the number of neurologists in Scotland so numbers are in line with European averages
  • improve neurological rehab, increasing access to rehabilitation services and improving community support for people with MS
  • improve ADP by meaningfully changing the eligibility criteria of Adult Disability Payment (ADP)
  • commit to Comprehensive Treatment Access and introduce national standards and monitoring by 2031 to make sure every person with MS receives appropriate treatment
  • improve social care to provide more support for carers including legislating and fully funding breaks

Together, we can build a fairer, healthier future for the people living with MS in Scotland.
