This webinar will explore approaches to pacing and fatigue management for people living with MS. There will be a particular focus on the emotional challenges that can come with managing limited energy. It will consider the role of guilt, self-expectations, and self-compassion. Alongside tips and strategies drawn from cognitive behavioural and energy management approaches. You'll be encouraged to reflect on your own patterns and explore more flexible and sustainable ways of balancing activity, rest, and wellbeing.

Sarah Thomas is a senior researcher at Bournemouth University with a background in psychology. She led the development of FACETS, a fatigue management programme for people with MS that combines cognitive behavioural and energy management approaches. Her work focuses on fatigue management, self-management, behaviour change, digital health, and wellbeing for people living with long-term conditions.

What will I need to take part?

All you need to join in is a laptop, tablet, phone or computer with a stable internet connection to use Zoom, the video meeting software that we use.
