MS Walk *cancelled*

All MS Walks in 2020 have been cancelled because of the COVID-19 situation.

Due to the availability of suppliers and venues, and taking into account the safety of our participants, staff and wonderful volunteers, we've decided that we cannot proceed with the event this year.

We haven’t taken this decision lightly, and understand that this will be very disappointing news.

All registered walkers should have received an email containing information about what this means for their registration. If you haven’t received an email, please contact us at We’ll be very be happy to help.

We’re working hard on securing a new date for 2021 and will announce it as soon as we can.

Most of our fundraising events have been cancelled this year, which means your support is needed now more than ever.

While we won’t be able to get together at MS Walks around the UK this year, we're busy planning an online celebration. We'll be releasing more information in the coming weeks - for now put Sunday 20 September in your diary and check back for more information.

Your questions answered

1. I’ve received a cancellation email which says I can donate or get a refund. Could I defer my entry fee over to next year instead?

Unfortunately we can’t transfer your entry fee because we haven’t confirmed our 2021 event date yet. We’re currently confirming events as quickly as we can and will let you know when the 2021 event is live. We’d love to see you next year and thank you for bearing with us.

2. I’ve chosen to receive a refund. How long will it take to come through?

Due to the extra work involved in managing all of our cancelled and rescheduled fundraising events, refunds will take up to a 60 days to be processed. We’re sorry that we're unable to commit to anything quicker, and we appreciate your continued patience and ongoing support.

3. My event is cancelled can I still donate the money I have raised so far to the MS Society?

Yes you can, and thank you so much! We need help more than ever at this time, so it would be wonderful if you can still make your donation.

Your support will help us provide information and services to people living with MS, and help towards funding vital MS research.

If any of your donors would like their donation back they will need to contact us directly for a refund. If you’d like to transfer your fundraising amount to another future event please get in touch with us at

4. Why has my friend received a cancellation email and I haven’t?

If you entered as a member of a group that was registered by someone else, we may only have their email address. Your Group Leader will be asked to choose between a refund or donating the whole group’s entry fee.

5. When are you going to reschedule the event and how will I be notified?

We’re contacting all of the venues and suppliers who support MS Walk every year. Once we’ve finalised our plans for the 2021 MS Walk season we’ll open event registration. If you’ve opted-in to hear from us we’ll email you when the event is live.
