The new Breathing Space Project in Wales is for unpaid carers who support someone with MS.

If you're supporting a family member, you may not think of yourself as a 'carer', but you could still be entitled to extra support. Caring for someone can be a few hours each week, or it could be all the time.

Short breaks for carers

The Breathing Space Project provides short breaks for unpaid carers in Wales. You can attend short breaks by yourself or bring along the person you care for and or family and friends.

We can offer short breaks such as:

  • weekend breaks – such as caravan and adventure holidays (limited availability)
  • days out, such as a spa days, or going to the cinema
  • one-off taster days such as indoor climbing, cycling, Nordic walking
  • a six-week course covering a range of topics such as creative writing, art and pottery
  • virtual café sessions providing peer information support
  • Christmas or summer events
  • caravan and adventure holidays (limited availability)
