Our MS Society local groups are here for everyone. But we know sometimes you need different ways to find each other and connect. Across the UK there are local and national MS support groups doing great work independently of us.
Independent MS support groups
MS Together is an online support group for young people with MS living in the UK and Ireland, aged 18-35.
They hold regular events and use Facebook to stay in touch and share stories and experiences.
The Shane Project is a charity based in Edmonton and surrounding areas of London.
It was founded in April 2002 by Norma McFarlane when her two sons were diagnosed with MS. The charity is named after Shane, her eldest son who was diagnosed with primary progressive in 1993 but sadly passed away in December 2003.
JEMS is a relaxed, confidential group for Jewish people affected by MS and their partners.
It meets on the first Wednesday of every month in Edgware at 8pm. They also have a Facebook group.
