LivingWell with MS Book Club
For people living with or affected by MS, join us as we pick up some quick reads for our monthly book club.
Reading has huge benefits for health and wellbeing. Studies show adults who read for just 30 minutes a week are 20% more likely to report great life satisfaction.
On the last week Thursday of each month we'll come together for an hour to discuss a short story. We'll have picked the book the month before from The Reading Agency's Quick Reads selection. The session is hosted by two of our wellbeing volunteers, Lynda and Laura.
You'll need to source the books yourself. And they'll be available for £1 or less, whether you're buying the book or downloading it digitally. You can access this on Kindle, Audible, or as a paperback copy - the choice is yours.
The book for October is Boys Don't Cry by Malorie Blackman.
What will I need to take part?
You'll need to source the book yourself. You'll need a laptop, tablet, phone or computer with access to a microphone and camera to join. You'll need a stable internet connection to use the video meeting software that we use.
Download Zoom for free on their website
What if I haven’t been sent the link?
We send an email with a link and some reading to everyone who completes the registration form on Eventbrite and books a place, so please enter your email carefully. The email might go into your SPAM or junk folder so check before the sessions start that you can find it. You can also access the session through your Eventbrite account.
What should I do if I can no longer attend?
This registration rolls on each month and you are free to dip in and out as it suits you. If you find that you no longer wish to be on the registration list, please get in touch at [email protected] so we can offer up your place to someone else.
