Treatments in trials

We're really close to finding new MS treatments.

Scientists are finding new and innovative ways to stop the immune system attacking myelin.

But that's not all. Researchers are also developing drugs that could reverse damage and protect nerves

Relapsing

We're continuing to make progress for relapsing MS. In 2017 ocrelizumab was licensed and cladribine was approved for use on the NHS. And there are lots more showing promise in clinical trials.

Secondary progressive

It's an exciting time for secondary progressive MS research. In 2017 we announced the phase 3 trial for simvastatin, which will involve over 1,000 people with secondary progressive MS.
