
Beta interferons (Avonex, Plegridy and Rebif) (factsheet)
MS is treated by drugs called disease modifying therapies (DMTs). Among the DMTs is a drug called beta interferon. In the UK doctors prescribe three versions of it: Avonex, Plegridy and Rebif. Two others, Extavia and Betaferon are no longer available.
