The Cool Crutches story
Cool Crutches was founded by mother and daughter team, Clare and Amelia, after an accident that left Amelia partially paralysed at the age of 19.
Amelia says:
When I was prescribed crutches to support my rehab I was given standard hospital ones which sadly led to clicking, slipping, snapping and most significantly, infected blisters on my hands that put a stop to my rehab.
It was then Clare began looking for walking aids suited to people with long-term needs and found they didn’t exist. And so Cool Crutches was born, to create and supply user-led and designed walking sticks and crutches.
