General election 2024

This year’s general election took place on Thursday 4 July. General elections are pivotal moments for campaigning. Thousands of us joined together to make sure MS is on the agenda of every candidate.

We shared information and resources about:

  • voting registration and the different ways you can vote
  • telling your local candidates which issues are important to you
  • our manifesto calling for the next Government to improve healthcare and financial security for people with living with MS

Together, we sent thousands of emails to candidates across the UK about the issues that matter to the MS community. Now the election is over, this action has closed.

Our manifesto

Produced together with our community, our manifesto is asking for the next UK Government to take action to transform the lives of people affected by MS. 

Our manifesto calls for the healthcare and support people with MS need to live well and healthily for longer. We're highlighting the need for access to well-resourced health services. And the importance of long-term financial security and independent living.

What you need to know to vote

Accessible voting in the general election

The UK General Election will be on 4 July. For some of us it might be difficult to get to a polling station on election day. So there are three ways we can vote. Voting is free and there are no charges to vote in person, by post or by proxy.
