Carers checklist - carer friendly communities
The Carers Checklist is a simple list looking at the things that carers have said are important in making their community carer friendly.
This is a supportive tool for carers and others to use to determine whether local services are providing carers with the help they need.
The checklist also enables local providers, businesses, employers and other local services to take simple steps to make a difference to carers’ lives.
What can you do with the checklist?
Rate your local services - take the checklist with you, for example to your local hospital or GP, to give you support with explaining what you need.
Take the list to your local group or carers network to help start a conversation with your local services and organisations about how they could better support carers.
