Robin and The Noise Next Door help us laugh in the face of MS

Robin Hatcher

My name's Robin, I'm part of improvised comedy group The Noise Next Door. And alongside being a comedian with these legends, I also live with MS.

For MS Week we asked our MS community to share the funny and bizarre situations MS has got them into. Then we used them to improvise a song about it.

These were just some of your suggestions and comments on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter:

  • one person went to a Michael Jackson tribute concert. And instead of asking him to sign her crutch, she asked him to sign her crotch.
  • Joe says he always veers slightly to the left when walking a bit like a crab. Meantime Becky says she always veers slightly to the right when walking a bit like a crab.
  • Roger accidentally put piles cream on his toothbrush.
  • and somebody on Instagram says that one time they got some blurred vision and worried that it might be optic neuritis. They went to a nurse, a consultant, a GP and then another consultant, only find out they had a contact lens stuck in their eye.

Watch the video at the top of this blog to find out how we strung these together to help us laugh in the face of MS!

#LetsTalkMS

Thanks to everyone who took part in our improvised song. We really enjoyed doing it.

Get involved with the hashtag #LetsTalkMS all of this week and hopefully come and see us at a live gig. We'd love to see you. Thanks a lot, goodbye!
