We launch our charity Christmas appeal to stop MS

Friday 8 November 2024

Last week, we launched our charity Christmas Stop MS Appeal with our History Makers film.

The film features MS researchers Rebecca, Nelson and Sean, together with Evie, Nin, Tony and Rozani who are all living with MS and Rozani’s partner Steven. Everyone featured in the film is a history maker, they’re all helping to change the future of MS.

Early Carer Researcher, Rebecca, has a personal reason for becoming an #MSHistoryMaker, her mum has MS and so did her mum’s sister. She grew up caring for her mum, and knew she wanted to do something to help stop it. Today, she’s using cutting edge technology to look at the protective myelin coating around cells.

Tony, who has progressive MS, is taking part in the Octopus clinical trial. He hopes that by doing so he can help future generations. We also hear from Nin in the film, who advocates for greater awareness of MS and in particular the stigma that's sometimes attached to MS in the Asian community.

Stop MS Appeal

Our Stop MS appeal was launched to raise £100 million for MS research by 2025. We’re closer than ever to achieving our goal of stopping MS for everyone.

The History Makers film, speaks of our collective hope and efforts to achieve this. And asks for everyone to join in changing the future of MS by becoming a history maker.

Anyone that gives their time, their energy, anyone that can donate money to help stop MS.
