Laurence and Jackie Llewelyn-Bowen announced our new Ambassadors
We're thrilled to announce that our long-term supporters Laurence and Jackie Llewelyn-Bowen have joined our fantastic team of MS Society Ambassadors.
Laurence is an interior designer and television personality, best known for appearing in hit TV shows including DIY SOS, Outrageous Homes and Changing Rooms. Jackie manages Llewelyn-Bowen Design, the couple’s shop and design consultancy in their home town of Cirencester in Gloucestershire.
Supporting My MS Woof
Both Laurence and Jackie’s mothers lived with MS and they have been supporters of the MS Society’s work for many years. They are currently raising awareness of My MS Woof, encouraging everyone to walk, roll or stroll 150km with their dogs during October.
Speaking at the My MS Woof photo shoot, Laurence said:
“The work of the MS Society is really important to us and the support we’ve received over the years for our families has been invaluable. We hope people will get out with their four-legged friends this October and raise lots of money for such a worthy cause.”
Raising the profile of MS
On being appointed MS Society Ambassadors, Jackie said:
“It’s an honour for us to become MS Society Ambassadors and we look forward to continuing to raise awareness of a condition that is so close to our hearts. We both know first-hand how hard it can be to live with a condition like MS and we are proud to be able to remember our mothers through our new roles with the MS Society.”
Nick Moberly, our Chief Executive said:
"It’s great to have Laurence and Jackie as our new Ambassadors. They both have a very personal connection to MS and have helped us raise awareness of the condition for many years. We’re so thankful for their continued support."
