Kerry Riches named as our new Ambassador
We’re excited to announce that Kerry Riches has joined our team of MS Society Ambassadors.
Kerry is a content creator and TV personality who starred in reality TV show Big Brother in 2023. Kerry was diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS 17 years ago at the age of 24.
Flying the flag for MS
Kerry was the first wheelchair user to take part in Big Brother. During her time in the Big Brother house, Kerry spoke to her housemates about MS and how it affects her.
Since leaving the Big Brother house Kerry has used her public profile to raise awareness of MS on her social media platforms and in media interviews.
Kerry gave interviews for our MS Awareness Week campaigns, helped us campaign against the recent proposed changes to disability benefits and marched with us at Pride in London.
Shoulder to shoulder with the MS community
Speaking about her new role, Kerry said:
“I’m delighted to be an official Ambassador for the MS Society. To be an Ambassador for the condition I’ve had for 17 years means everything to me. To represent a community I stand shoulder to shoulder with is a privilege and an honour.”
Nick Moberly, our Chief Executive said:
“We’re delighted to welcome Kerry to our fantastic team of MS Society Ambassadors. Kerry is a passionate advocate for the 150,000 people in the UK who live with MS and it’s wonderful to have her continued support in this vital role.”
Kerry will be taking part in My MS Woof this October alongside her faithful ‘Ambassadogs’ Minnie and Daisy!
