MS Walk 2025 frequently asked questions

Answering your questions about MS Walk 2025.

How much does registration cost?

The registration fee for MS Walk is £15 for adults, £7 for under 18s and free for under 5s.

On the day, registration costs are the same as above.

What's the refund policy?

Tickets are non-refundable as per our event terms and conditions.

We kindly suggest each participant raises £150 to help fund ground-breaking MS research. While your entry fee helps cover some event costs, the funds you raise will play a vital role in continuing to fund MS research in support of the 150,000 people living with MS in the UK

What happens if the weather is bad on event day?

It’s your responsibility to make sure you're wearing suitable clothing for the event, considering factors like the nature of the event, the weather forecast, and the terrain.

If we need to cancel the event due to severe weather, we'll let you know by email or through the MS Walk Facebook group

What will supporters get?

When you sign up, you'll receive a free t-shirt, which will be delivered before the event, as well as a medal on the day, along with water and snacks.

If the t-shirt doesn’t arrive in time, t-shirts will be available to collect on the day. Digital and physical maps will be available, and a medal presented at the end.

Can I bring children and dogs?

You’re welcome to bring children under 5 to the event, but we ask that you reserve a free ticket for them so we can keep track of participation numbers. All under-18s must be accompanied by an adult. Children are also welcome to bring scooters. And of course, dogs are welcome too!

Do I need to bring water?

Water will be available but we recommend bringing a bottle with you as well.

Can I pay for tickets and merchandise on the day with cash?

We are a cashless event and therefore encourage you to pay with card.

Can I change my event distance?

Yes, you can. Just let us know the new distance you'd like to do.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, we'll have a list of people who've registered, so you can give your name when you sign in on the day.

What are the timings for the event?

Registration and sign-in opens at 9am and the MS Walk welcome and warm-up is at 10am.   Please check your event guide for when the event closes.

How accurate are the distances?

We try to be as accurate as possible, but the distances are estimates and may not be exact.

We try our best to make sure all routes are wheelchair accessible, but sometimes there might be unexpected problems, like paths being closed. If this happens, we’ll work to provide an alternative route where possible. If you have any questions about route accessibility, please get in touch at [email protected]

How shall I travel to the event?

We suggest using public transport, but all our venues have parking nearby if needed. You can find more transport details in the event guide that will be emailed to you before the event.

We aim to choose locations that have access to accessible forms of transport or have disabled parking nearby. These are different for each location so please refer to our event guide closer to the time or contact the events team.

Please make sure you've checked for engineering works in the area, whichever way you get there.

What facilities will be available on the day?

All venues will have access to toilets and disabled toilets. As well as food and drink vendors nearby.

There will be a DJ and face painters on the day and a warm-up at 10am.

What health and safety measures will there be?

There'll be medical support based at the event site that can attend to medical issues. In case of a medical emergency please call 999. Then inform the MS Society emergency contact number found in your event guide.

You need to be physically fit enough to complete the route you have chosen and accept that you do so entirely at your own risk. It's your responsibility to decide if you're able to take part in the event. On the day, you shouldn't take part if you feel unwell.

Who can I contact with any further questions?
