National councils
Our councils for England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales work on behalf of people affected by MS in each nation of the UK.
Each national council usually consists of 12 members. They are responsible for the overall direction of the MS Societies in their nation.
How are council members elected?
Council members are elected by members of the MS Society within their nation, and are ultimately accountable to the UK Board of Trustees.
How do I become a council member?
Every spring, members from across the MS Society are invited to apply as a candidate by completing an application pack. Successful applicants will be interviewed and put forward for election by members from their nation.
