Our MS Society BBC Lifeline Appeal
Our BBC Lifeline TV Appeal aired in June and starred chef Tom Kerridge and other members of our MS community.
Michelin-starred chef, Tom Kerridge, presented our Lifeline Appeal film. It focused on Sasha, Stuart and Val and their stories about our MS Helpline, our research, and the amazing support our local group volunteers give around the UK.
Together, we raised an amazing £13,000! Thank you for your support.
It was a great opportunity for us to raise awareness of MS, tell people about the incredible work we do. And encourage people to support us so we can do more!

Meet the stars of our Lifeline Appeal
Our presenter Tom Kerridge
Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge has a personal connection to MS. His dad lived with the condition and sadly died when Tom was only 18-years-old.
We spoke to Tom about why he wanted to take part in our Lifeline Appeal.
MS Helpline was my lifeline
Sasha from Birmingham shares her story in the appeal. She has three young children and was only diagnosed with MS in 2019.
Sasha talks about how our MS Helpline team supported her emotionally after her diagnosis. She now often calls when she’s having a difficult day: “It made me realise you don’t have to be alone on your journey and there is support on every step of the way.”
Supporting the community in rural Wales
Meet Val, the group coordinator of our Conwy and Denbighshire group in North Wales.
She and other members of the group are some of the stars of our Lifeline Appeal. The support they give through exercise classes and social meet ups helps local people living with all stages of MS.
The difference our research makes
We filmed with the Wood family in County Durham to find out how our research has changed their lives.
Stuart and his 18-year-old daughter Lucy both live with MS. Stuart spoke about the difference Botox injections for bladder management in MS have made to his quality of life. We're proud to have funded the early research into this treatment.
