Introducing our new Executive Director of Engagement and Income Generation

Clare Horwood will be joining us this month as our new Executive Director of Engagement and Income Generation.

Overseeing our Stop MS Appeal

Clare has worked at a number of organisations in senior fundraising roles over the past 15 years. Most recently she worked at Mind as the Interim Associate Director of Fundraising, launching their first ever public facing emergency appeal.

Before that Clare was in a similar role at Diabetes UK, where she provided strategic leadership to fundraising activities.

In her new role Clare will oversee all aspects of marketing and fundraising, including our Stop MS Appeal, which aims to raise £100m for MS research.

Making a difference to people with MS

Clare says: “I have admired the work of the MS Society for years. The mix of world class research, support, and campaigns and policy, as well as the local group network are what makes the charity so brilliant, and the difference they have made to people living with MS is extraordinary.”

“I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone and can’t wait to get started.”

Clare replaces Emma Whitcombe, previous Executive Director of Engagement and Income Generation, who left the organisation in December to move overseas.

Clare will start her new role with us on Monday 22 February.
