Maccabees brothers named as new Ambassadors

We’re delighted to announce Felix and Hugo White as new MS Society Ambassadors.

The brothers are guitarists with indie rock band The Maccabees. They’ve previously spoken out about growing up with a mother who had MS and the pain of losing her when they were teenagers.

Long-term supporters

Felix and Hugo have done loads to support us over the past six years, helping to raise vital funds and awareness about MS. They’ve also touched the lives of many young people living with MS at Maccabees gigs throughout the country, inviting them to meet the band backstage.

Shared experiences

Felix says:

"It’s a great honour for both Hugo and I to be chosen to be MS Society Ambassadors. Our mum, Lana, had MS throughout our childhood, so we have experienced how difficult living with it is and how heart-breaking the effects of it can be. Being able to share that means a lot to us and we are looking forward to continuing to help the MS Society in any way we can."

Getting loud about MS

Michelle Mitchell, our Chief Executive, says:

“We’re thrilled to have Felix and Hugo on board as our new Ambassadors. They’ve done some amazing work to support us over the years, and we’re really grateful they’ll continue to help us raise awareness of this unpredictable and challenging condition. We’d also like to thank The Maccabees’ fans for their generosity in donating to the MS Society at past shows.

“Our Ambassadors play a huge role in helping us to drive research into more – and better – treatments to stop MS, galvanising public support for our campaigns, and helping us to tell the stories of more than 100,000 people living with the condition in the UK.”
