Announcing a gala opera to stop MS

This summer, world-renowned opera company, Opera Holland Park, will hold a special gala performance of La traviata to raise money for MS research. The performance is on June 19 in Londons' Holland Park.

What's La traviata about?

Giuseppe Verdi's La traviata is a story of first and last love, laced with some of the most famous arias and choruses ever written. It tells the tragic love story of a courtesan, Violetta and noble born Alfredo Germont. Played out against the hypocrisy of upper-class fashionable society, their love is put to the ultimate test.

The dramatic performance will be staged in a canopied theatre against the stunning backdrop of Holland House.

How can opera help stop MS?

All the money raised will go towards the Stop MS Appeal, getting us closer to our target of £100million for MS research.

Over the next ten years, the research it funds has potential to change the course of MS treatment and transform the quality of life for everyone living with MS.
