The Willow Trust boat trip on the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal

On Tuesday 19th August 2025 we will be travelling down the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal with the volunteers of The Willow Trust.

This trip provides our members and carer/family/friend with a leisurely and relaxing day out, taking in the lovely scenery and wildlife whilst going down the canal from Saul Junction to Purton. If the weather is good, fingers crossed, we can picnic on the side of the canal. There will be an opportunity to steer the boat if you wish.

Parking is free and tickets will be provided by the organisers. You will need to bring a picnic but drinks will be provided on board. The Willow Trust is a charity and run by Volunteers. They do not charge for our trip but we do like to give individual donations on the day, and there are also items you can purchase to support this charity. The boat is disabled-friendly and all areas are accessible.
