The MS Society's Policy and Campaigns team was named ‘In House Team of the Year’ last night (16 November) at the annual Public Affairs News Awards.

The team were praised for their work in empowering people affected by MS, influencing policy and increasing awareness of MS in parliament.

After beating off tough competition from Scottish Power, Macmillan Cancer Support and Keep Britain Tidy, Laura Weir, Head of Policy and Campaigns at the Society, said: "This is a great achievement and a significant milestone for the organisation. We're determined to keep pushing MS up the political agenda, and to hold the government accountable on the issues that matter most to people affected by MS."
