My MS Woof - our charity dog walking challenge
Walk, run, roll or stroll 150km with your dog this October to help stop MS.
Earlier this year, we announced that the number of people living with MS in the UK has increased to over 150,000. So, for 2024, we have a new My MS Woof challenge to walk 150km – that's just under 5k a day.
If 150km seems too far though, you can set a distance that suits you and your dog. Or follow one of our suggested distances below:
- 50km
- 100km
- 150km
Walk, roll or run your way through October. However far you go and however long it takes, it’s all about getting outdoors and raising vital funds to help stop MS.
Get the whole pack together and join the My MS Woof challenge. Together we can stop MS!
Once you’ve signed up, we’ll automatically create a JustGiving page for you. And send you one of our newly branded My MS Woof t-shirts. You can sign up and complete your walk any time before Thursday 31 October.
You can share your progress and connect with others taking part in the My MS Woof Facebook group. And you can email any questions you have to [email protected]
Who can take part in My MS Woof?
Anyone with a dog – or who can borrow one! There’s no age limit, but if you’re under 18 you’ll need an adult to register for you.
Whether you walk, roll or run with your pooch, it’s all about getting outside and raising money for a great cause.
Why take part in My MS Woof?
We couldn’t do our amazing work without people like you helping us raise money.
£50 will let us operate a high-powered microscope for an hour. This lets us study cells and tissue affected by MS.
£100 allows us to process four blood samples and extract information about genes and immunity. This is a vital part of testing new treatments for MS.
This charity dog walking challenge is perfect for people who love getting out and about with a four-legged friend. And it’s a great way to raise vital funds for us!
My MS Woof has been the best thing I've done, not only for my physical health but also my mental health.
It really has turned things around, pointing me in the right direction for dealing with my anxiety. I’ve still got work to do on that but it doesn't seem as daunting!
