Event/service information

Do you worry about telling your children about your MS? Or how much you should tell them? You’re not alone & we’ll be discussing this with our panel as part of our information webinar. Join us this August as we look at living with MS and having a family.

An MS diagnosis has a huge impact on you and your family. And you may be wondering how much you should be telling your children about your MS. You may also be concerned about overloading them or confusing them.

Perhaps you're worried they've noticed your symptoms. Or that you need to rest more and want to find out more about having age appropriate conversations.

We’ll be joined by a panel of people living with MS who have children at various ages. We'll chat about telling children about MS and learning as a family to adapt to life with MS. We'll also be joined by an MS nurse who’ll be sharing their experiences of communicating with children, and opening up the discussion around supporting your children.

What will I need to take part?

We use Zoom, a video meeting software for our events. So all you need to join is a laptop, tablet, phone or computer with a stable internet connection.

Download Zoom for free on their website

When I join the webinar can other people see or hear me?

No, you can’t be seen or heard by other participants.

Can I ask questions?

Yes, usually you can ask questions and make comments. The facilitator will tell participants how to do this. When there are more than 100 participants, our license will only allow the first 100 people to ask questions during the event.

Please note we can’t respond or offer advice to questions about your specific circumstances or anything relating to your own personal health. Questions will be collated and we will try to cover your queries if not your specific question.

What should I do if I can no longer attend?

If you're unable to take part, please email us at [email protected] so we can give your place to someone else.

And please keep an eye out for other Living Well services.
