My child has MS - a guide for parents (booklet)

MS is usually thought of as an adult condition, but children and teenagers can also develop it. It's thought that around 5% to 10% people with MS experienced their first symptoms before the age of 16. When your child has multiple sclerosis, you usually have lots of questions. We’ve put together a booklet to help answer them.

Download our MS guide for parents for information about:

  • what is MS
  • why do children get MS
  • how is my child's MS diagnosed
  • treatments and managing symptoms
  • school, college and university
  • help for my child with MS: social care, benefits and grants

This booklet is available for you to download and print, you can also order your free copy from the MS Society online shop. There's more information about MS in children on our webpages.
