Event/Service information

Café Neuro York is the idea of a former neuro psychologist in York who recognised that it is important for people with a range of neurological conditions to have some where to go for peer support and to share experiences and approaches to live as well as possible with each condition. A group of neurological charities* has come together to support that idea and with the support of St Leonard’s Hospice, which is letting us use its Sunflower Centre free of charge, Café Neuro York was developed.
The idea is a social get together once a month (to start) where people have a safe and comfortable place to talk about anything and everything and can get ideas of where to turn from people who have probably experienced something similar themselves.
Café Neuro is free and refreshments are provided. It is a drop in and people can come for as long or as often as they want.
We also hope to develop some activities at the drop in sessions and are keen to find out what people want
