Exercise - Pilates

Use of gym equipment and allied services at the YMCA, Loose nr Maidstone with a trained professional on hand. This is for people with MS affiliated to or within the catchment of the Maidstone Group but also their carers if deemed appropriate, designed so that people with MS can improve or maintain their strength and overall condition. Equipment can be used depending on any individual's personal needs. In advance of attendance as a gym member the local society Group will organise an induction which will be performed by a qualified trainer to ensure the person with MS is capable and safe to use any facilities. The YMCA also has a café for post exercise relaxation and social interaction. Once induction is complete the Maidstone Group will fund a year's membership. The facility is available at any time off peak although local members have initially opted for a group session for Pilates on a Tuesday and Gym on a Thursday at 11am.
