Speaker Talk - The Lady of the Mountain
Socials and support groups
Seasalter Christian Centre,
Friday 5 April 2019 - 14:00 PM
The East Kent Multiple Sclerosis Society presents an afternoon entertainment given by local speaker Captain Brian Laverick-Smith who will be thrilling us with details about his attempts to climb high mountains on all seven continents with his son, including four attempts to climb the Matterhorn, (a 15,000ft mountain which straddles the Swiss Italian border) and the rather tragic ending to events highlighting the effects of altitude and weather on the climbers when things can go horribly wrong.
This event is free of charge and everyone is very welcome to attend. We are a friendly local group who arrange monthly entertainment for our members, but we welcome any non-members who would like to share the talks. The talk will be followed by refreshments and a raffle.
The venue is fully accessible and has on-site parking.
