MS Nurses

"The MS nurses are really great. You can ring them anytime with any problem. Mine have been a real lifeline for me."

The MS Nurse is often one of the most important people in supporting, educating, empowering, and caring for a person with multiple sclerosis and their family. They are a fantastic source of information, support and advice about the condition from time of your diagnosis, and beyond as you adapt to life with MS. They tend to work closely with neurologists and have an in-depth knowledge of the condition and are often more approachable in terms of lifestyle issues arising from your MS.

An MS specialist nurse can also help you fulfil your goal of self management and give you and your family a greater understanding of the condition by adopting a collaborative and co-ordinated approach.

If you haven't been referred to an MS Nurse, there may not be one in your area. Ask your GP to find out on your behalf.
