   MIAC 2006

Mobile Information Centre

The goal of this project is to take information to the MS community in Wales where it is needed. This could mean a clinic environment, an MS branch or an information event for people affected by MS.

In December 2006 our first information centre opened at the Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny. Information Days take place on the last Friday of each month.
Volunteer Coordinator: email  Mrs Sally Morgan

Plans are underway for a second information centre to open at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport
What is MIAC?
A mobile multi-media information centre to be used in a variety of settings. The flexibility of the centre allows it to be used to offer specific information tailored to individual needs or a broader-based information session that would meet the needs of a larger group.

Who will benefit from MIAC?
The information is aimed at anyone affected by MS, volunteers, NHS staff members and members of the public.

How will MIAC work?
It will be supported by trained volunteers, who will have a knowledge and understanding of MS and local services.
