National Projects

Wales is a country of contrasts; large urban areas side by side with small rural communities, mountainous and low-land areas, Welsh and non-Welsh speakers and then the largest contrast of all for the MS community – health and social care – pockets of excellence next to areas of concern.

MS Cymru are striving to overcome these differences and cater for the whole of the MS community in Wales and to allow us to do this we have a number of key national projects.

Our Carers Programme 'Caring Counts' currently consists of two work strands. The first is to produce a Carers Directory unique to Wales signposting carers to sources of support both locally and nationally. The second is to set up a Telephone Befriending service.
