Helpful organisations for people affected by MS

The MS Society website contains a signposting section which lists contact details that may be useful to people affected by MS more generally. 

Volunteering England

Go to Volunteering England's website for information on volunteering organisations, for example to find your local volunteer centre. Volunteering England also provide support to voluntary organisations.

REACH matches the skills of experienced people to the needs of voluntary organisations.  The recruit and support people who want to use their professional expertise as volunteers.  They place people in organisations near where they live, anywhere in the UK.  There are no age limits and there is no charge for the service. 

How to register with Reach 

Council for Voluntary Services (CVS)

Councils for Voluntary Service promote and develop local voluntary and community action and provide support for voluntary and community groups, individual volunteers and volunteer-involving organisations.

You can find your nearest CVS in the local phone directory or at NAVCA website

Millennium Volunteers (MVs) are young people who give up their free time to help their local communities. Millennium Volunteers (MV) is aimed at young people aged 16-24. They help to place people with volunteering opportunities in their local area. Most areas have a local area Coordinator who can tell you if there are suitable volunteers in your area.
