I've just taken over as branch secretary, and need to write a few letters, does the MS Society have any letterhead paper that I could use?
All branches should use the current official MS Society letterheaded paper. You can tell it's the right style because it has our new orange and black logo in the top right-hand corner, the branch name is written across the top left, and the charity details such as the registered charity number, patron and founder, national helpline number and website are all written in the bottom right corner, or across the bottom, depending on which nation you belong to.
You need to make sure that whatever letterhead paper you have inherited is current. There may be some of the old letterhead, with the yellow and black logo, still around. It's really important that we all use the current official letterhead paper, because then people you write to know that your branch is a part of the MS Society, and the official paper also has all of the details that we legally have to print, such as the registered charity number. This means that, for example, if you are approaching a business asking for raffle prizes, they will be more likely to take you seriously.
To order letterhead paper, download a stationery order form from the Branch Zone. You just need to fill in the form and send it to our printers, with a cheque for the appropriate amount (details are on the form).
Please note that we don't allow branches to have addresses printed on letterhead paper anymore. This is because if the details change, you'll be stuck with a whole ream of paper with the wrong information on. Instead we suggest that you print any extra contact details such as return address and branch contact number onto the paper as you use it.
Some branches like to use business cards - our printers can produce these for you too by individual order.
