The Menu of Local Support
BRANCHOUT is based on the “Menu of Local Support” which is the MS Society’s expressed wishes that all people affected by MS will have reasonable access to the following services, as and when they require them;
- Every branch is a first point of contact, ensuring that people get through to someone with the skills and training to handle their call effectively.
- Every branch offers individual support in the form of a listening ear, information, signposting to other services and financial assistance.
- There is an annual programme of information events for people affected by MS.
- People have information about and access to appropriate and accessible therapies.
- There are support groups or activities for specific sections of the MS community.
- Social activities are available for people affected by MS.
- People affected by MS have assistance in accessing local services.
- Opportunities are available to campaign on local issues.
