A Direct Payment is money that your Social Services Department can give you to pay for the services you have been assessed as needing. You can find out about Direct Payments by contacting your local council's Social Services Department.

Direct Payments offer flexibility and choice over how assessed services are provided. You can even employ your own support or care assistants, if this is what you need.
