Carers Week 9-15 June 2008
The MS Society is one of the charities behind this year's Carers Week, the theme of which was 'Carers can't afford to be ill'.
Through Carers Week each year we aim to raise awareness of the needs of carers, to support carers locally and to celebrate the contribution that carers make to their families and communities.
The Carers Week partner organisations work closely with the media, politicians and health and social care professionals to campaign for a better deal for carers. The Carers Week team also provides support to local groups wishing to run events and activities.
Carers Week Survey 2008
In 2008 Carers Week highlighted the impact caring can have on carers' health and wellbeing. The results of this year’s survey were used in Carers Week to report on those experiences; the rewards and the frustrations, and the effect on the health of the 2,000 plus carers who took part. The Carers Week Team
