People with MS needed for trial of supportive psychological therapies

This MS Society funded trial is looking at the effectiveness of two different psychological treatments for helping people in the early stages of MS to adjust to the challenges of living with the disease.

The trial is finishing shortly, but the researchers are currently looking for around 5 more people to start the trial within the next few weeks.

Participants will be randomly assigned to have 8 sessions of either cognitive behaviour therapy or supportive listening from a specially trained nurse. They will have two face-to-face sessions, but the other six will be done by telephone to minimise travelling.
