Neurological Rehabilitation Services in the Wessex & West Region

Rehabilitation can help people to cope more effectively with the symptoms of MS, and can help to recover strength, skills or co-ordination. Rehabilitation services can be hospital or community based and generally will provide an outreach service to people in their own homes. Rehabilitation for people with MS may be provided at a neurological centre or by a small locally based team.

South West Alliance of Neurological Organisations

SWANO exists to provide basic information about the most common neurological conditions in the South West, to give a brief overview of the needs of people affected by these conditions and to provide information about neurological charities working in the NHS South West area.

South West Forum

The South West Forum acts as the voluntary and community sector’s regional champion.
The Forum's key role is to be an active and dynamic influence in the region ensuring that the voluntary and community sectors are genuinely engaged in developing and influencing policy. Working closely with regional bodies, including the Regional Assembly, South West Regional Development Agency and Government Office South West, the Forum seeks to raise understanding of the importance of the voluntary and community sector to the social and economic life of the region.
