MS Support Groups

The MS Society has 3 National support groups: Asian MS, GLAMS and Mutual Support. These groups provide a contact and support network for people who have a shared background, lifestyle or interest. Find out more about the support groups below.
Young people with MS

MS is typically diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 40, but the symptoms of MS can begin at any age. It is estimated that about 5% of people with MS develop symptoms in childhood or adolescence.


Asian - Asian MS

Asian MS is a national support group for Asian people with MS, their carers, friends and family.


Mutual Support

Mutual Support is a national support group for people in the Armed Forces open to all personnel irrespective of rank or grade, whether still serving, ex-serving or a dependant, who have an association with MS.


GLAMS

GLAMS was founded in March 1996, with the help of the MS Society and is a self-help group of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender people with MS.
